In- state we plays team such as Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton & Naples.

The Jacksonville RFC was formed by some past college players and a few locals with a screw loose in 1972. The Jacksonville RFC team initially had varied success and the ups and downs experienced by any new club, but after a few lean years in the early 1980s, the club re-established itself as a competitive force in Florida Rugby.

Over the years, the men’s club has been a leader in Florida rugby. Recently, Jacksonville RFC has been Florida Cup finalists, Florida matrix winners, USA Rugby South Champions, and National Final 8 participants. Current members have founded and coached the University of North FloridaJacksonville Axemen Rugby League, & Jacksonville Women’s Rugby.

Jacksonville RFC prides itself as being leaders in the Jacksonville community as well. The club has over 100 active and past members representing a wide range of professions including lawyers, doctors, dentist, police officers, businessmen, engineers, military personnel, tradesman and others. We have held charity golf tournaments to donate to the Special Olympics. We also have affiliations with the Loyal Order of the Moose charities, Habijax, and Adopt a Highway programs.
