Jacksonville RFC ends season with win

Great battle of rugby was played this past weekend. Miami RFC traveled to Jacksonville to play a crossover game. Alot was on the line for both teams coming into this match. The loser would have to move from Division II to Division III. Every player was ready and prepared for what Miami had to bring.

The game started with some good forward momentum by Jacksonville. Flyhalf & Captain, Chris Potter converted some key penalty kicks to put Jacksonville ahead early. Miami would put up a try minutes later to give them the lead. Jacksonville was able to put in one try by Center, Joe Greaves before the halftime whistle blew. By half, the game was real close with both teams in a wrestling match. Fitness seemed to be on Jacksonville’s side as Miami started to slow down their pace in the second half. JAX took that advantage and exploited it with 8-Man, Ryan “Bubba” Peterson putting in two huge tries. In the end, Jacksonville RFC would come out on top.

Final score: 28-15 Jacksonville
